Evaluation Studio and Alliance for Girls* Integration

Evaluation Studio, established in 2017, is an innovative research and evaluation firm with a community-centered approach. In November 2023, Linda Lu, the Founder and Principal Researcher, was appointed Co-Executive Director of Alliance for Girls* (AFG), a community-driven alliance of organizations and leaders dedicated to advancing gender equity.

In a strategic alliance, Evaluation Studio is now integrating its transformative research practices into AFG. This collaboration will enable AFG to offer its members and other community-based organizations the Youth Participatory Action Research and Transformative Evaluation expertise that the all-women-of-color Evaluation Studio team is renowned for.

*At Alliance for Girls, girls and gender-expansive youth refers to cis girls, trans girls, non-binary youth, gender non-conforming youth, gender queer youth, and any girl-identified youth.

Evaluation Studio believes knowledge and data is a collaborative and generative process that can shift power.

Our approach involves an iterative technique that focuses on discovery, discussion, and design. This helps organizations to demonstrate their impact and effectiveness. As part of the Evaluation Studio and Alliance for Girls integration, we will offer our portfolio of services as AFG’s newly integrated research practice. This includes research and evaluation consulting and coaching, strategic planning, and Youth Participatory Action Research training and systems-building for organizations that primarily work with women and girls of color, gender-expansive youth, and intergenerational BIPOC communities.
